Welcome to Purposeful Educations
T.Franklin, Founder
Tissua attended private school before going on to Michigan State university. There she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Teaching. During her rearing of her beloved sons Cortez and Taylor Tissua, earned her Education Specialists in Administration and Leadership from Walden University.

Teaching in Hamtramck was challenging due to the city being 2.2 miles with over 100 languages spoken there. Every teacher in Hamtramck is a bilingual teacher just by teaching their class.

As a Reading Specialist, Writing Chair, and Instructor of grades K-12 students and parents, Tissua has a vast amount of experiences. She has taught in public and charter and has experience in the the juvenile system as well as teaching aboard in the United Arab Emirate population. In her return to the states she spent time as a Regional Literacy and Humanities Specialist for Savvas Education where she served local school districts in eight states.

Tissua's love for education comes from her relationship with her grandmother, Ozella. Her grandmother made education important by spending her hard earned money on educating her and drilling in the words, "I want you to be educated!"
Tissua two sons Cortez and Taylor were also apart of her growth as a teacher. Cortez attended small groups with a Title I teacher while Taylor was born with Asperger's Syndrome. Today, Cortez is a Sargent in the Marines and Taylor is a student at culinary school. Tissua contributes their success to building a strong family foundation where faith, purpose, intent, integrity, and hard work sets the foundation for success.

Finally, and most importantly, Tissua believes education is the vehicle through which equality travels. People cannot wait for superman to come save them. People must save themselves. Living in her purpose of educating youth, families, and her community she dares you to live in your purpose.
